Sydney's Ballet Class

In November I found a Baby Ballerina class for 2 and 3 year olds through Gilbert Parks & Rec. It was only $15 for 5 classes so I figured I would try it out. If you know Sydney, you know she likes anything girly. She loves pink, purple, dolls, dress-up, princesses, and dancing. I was eager to get her in something, but it was definitively a little too soon. I stayed in with her for the first class. The next 4 classes she was without me. She didn't cry or try to get out, but she also didn't participate. She just sat in the middle of the dance floor with a blank look on her face. It was actually really adorable. By about the 4th class she discovered the floor was really slippery and would slide around on her belly for most of the class. The last day they had the parents come in for the last 15 minutes to watch the girls perform. Once again Sydney didn't do much, but it was still really cute. I love this girl to pieces! She just cracks me up. Ever since then she talks about ballerinas and always wants to dress up as one. I know in about a year she will love to be in a dance class. I guess I'll try again when she's a little older.
