Saying Goodbye

A few weeks ago we had to say goodbye to my sister Amy and her family. Amy's husband, Marcus, got accepted to PA school in Arkansas. Amy's kids, Bailey, Livvy, and Blake are all so close to Sydney & Colter. Colter & Bailey have been best friends since Colter was born. They fight a lot when they're together, but they're each others favorite person. Bailey and Livvy are so sweet to Sydney. They treat her like a little princess. I loved watching them play with her...so sweet. Colter has always adored baby Blake. He talks about missing Blake the most. It's sad that the next time we see them, Blake's not going to be a baby anymore. I'm used to seeing Amy all the time so it's been sad not being able to hang out with them. Luckily, it's only for 2 1/2 years.

Since Colter isn't a big phone talker, Bailey and Livvy came up with an awesome idea on how to keep in touch with their cousins. They sent letters and pictures to Colter & Sydney. They were both sooo excited. I was surprised to see that Sydney was even excited. Colter spend the next hour after opening the letters, drawing pictures to send back to them. And then I helped him write letters back. He usually would not be excited about doing this, but he got totally into it. He told me exactly what to write. Sydney drew some pictures too, but I didn't get a copy of them. Thank you Bailey & Livvy for starting this. We love you guys!

Letter to Blake from Colter. After we finished the letters to Bailey & Livvy he realized we needed to write one to Blake. While writing to Blake he realized he forgot to draw him a picture. It was really cute.
